So will it be Jon & Jane next week as the 'dream team'!!? Any more details of other moves?
Well Jane said "were both see you next week at different times," so I presume not. Presumably that means one of them, probably Matthew, will move to a lesser slot?
Anyone leaving or joining for sure? Plus, it would be good to see dual-anchoring at weekends too during the day.
Shame - because to me, at least, Matthew is more polished, has more personality and more of a laugh, yet at the same time can be more serious and conduct himself better in a breaking news situation!
In the aftermath of the Tsunami disaster, Jon had some fairly disastrous awkward moments and pretty uninspiring interviews and questions.

Matthew's the BBC's best-kept secret!
Yes, I've been saying this for ages. Matthew is so under-rated. He should present the 10 O'Clock News instead of Huw (but keep Fiona). Huw should be put on News 24 or Newsround.

HUW ON NEWSROUND!! that would REALLY interact with the YOUNG viewers wouldn't it. God, what is the problem with Newsround. Loads are always saying that these professional presenters (Huw and others) should move down to it. I have NEVER seen that in my life watching newsround.
for example: Matthew Price went from Newsround TO Middle East
Julie Etchingham went from Newsround to Sky News
Kate Sanderson went from Newsround to Breakfast to Watchdog to Five news (which is practilly Sky News)
now i think i made my point clear that no where a professioal presenter would move down. Newsround is a haven for budding news presenters and correspondents, not a reitirement home.
To be honest i like huw on the 10. If he only could do more presenting on it, a bit like the Charles and Cimilla special, where he was standing and doing lots of movement which does honestly look better and suits him more. Remember that Huw is restricted to what he can do, so he cant move around the studio ect, which means he isnt as he wants to be (from what i can tell anyway)
I'm happy to see Jon moving over to earlier in the day. I like him presenting (not only becouse he helped me on BBC News & Sport on Tour), but becouse he has something Newsy about him, not like some others.

Totally agree there. Newsround is an excellent produced piece of journalism, and is the only one currently aimed at children in the UK (I'm not sure if there are others that are aimed at children around the world), and I've never understood why ITV haven't set one up for children.
Newsround is still watched in my house by all, most probably as it's on before Neighbours, but it does contain all of the news of the day in a simplified way and in 10 minutes, it does very well and I'm sure I read somewhere that it's watched by more adults than children.
