Anyway returning to the topic in hand...

Great to see Karin and Simon this lunchtime. The pair were great together and some great camera work on the links with Sport.

During the election; At about 4.30 every day there used to be a slot from the "engine room" I was wondering if there any plans to reintroduce this? Quite liked it personally.

It was odd so see Simon doing the lunchtime slots.

He has done it a few times now.

Newswatch is interesting this week.

Has Brian Barron on, who's a very experienced journalist, and Ray Snoddy basically ripping his report to pieces saying how perhaps he should've done this differently, that differently, how it was unfair, how a DVD he used was inaccurate.

Poor Mr Barron gets more irritated by the minute! Can't help but think that if the programme is going to drag on experienced reporters and insult their journalism it is heading in the wrong direction.

Kate Silverton now officially seems to have got the job of Anna Jones. On her profile on the Breakfast website it says, "Kate regularly presents BBC News 24 from Monday to Thursday, 0900 to 1300."

Ray is a bit harsh this week. He's taking a side no doubt.

She certainly isn't in that slot much at the moment, due to the time she is spending doing Breakfast cover. I would imagine when Susanna Reid returns Kate can get into the swing of her News24 shift.

The News 24 site could do with having her name added, Tim WIllcox & Julian Worricker added as well as people like Karin Giannone & Gwenan Edwards who pop up frequently

Is it me, or does the photo of Jane on the N24 site look like she's a troll?

In that Newswatch interview with Brian Barron, where is the studio that he's in? It's certainly not South Dakota - and I know I know it but can't place it.
