I can see the point, but I don't see why her abilities as a newsreader are judged by whether or not she says "Good evening". Half the time it only sounds fake anyway.

"Our correspondent X is in a terrible place of bloodshed and misery. "

"Good evening George....!"

"X, thank you very much".

It's the news, not This Morning.

I was impressed by Jake Lynch earlier on today. I thought he was a really good presenter - ditch Hayton and replace him with someone like Lynch anyday!

I like Valerie Sanderson. She was an excellent presenter when she used to pop up on World from time to time. I recall the same thing though - she often used to launch into the bulletin without the standard greeting. She was excellent when paired alongside Peter Coe.

Jake Lynch - have to disagree entirely with the correspondent above. I find him to be an extremely irritating and miserable presenter. Sorry.

A view held by many James. Myself included. Someone called him a "dementor" from the Harry Potter books, which to be honest seems apretty acurate description.

Turning to another matter completly now, Is Sunday AM going to be simulcast on News 24 or will News 24 Sunday continue but only on News 24?

Hmmm - that's a difficult one Matrix. How can we clone Moira to ensure that she covers both programmes?

Well after months of experimenting and much alteration....Kate Silverton.

So just Sunday AM?

Will Sunday AM fall into the BBC News banner or will it be seperately produced?

As far as I know, it will be produced by BBC News, not an outside production company.

And even if it were produced by an outside company, it would still come under BBC News, ala Question Time.

AFAIK
Sunday AM will just be on BBC1. News24 will return to a normal half hour of news followed by a half hour from the World Newsroom

Ahh - Thanks Marcus. Mr Sissons was a bit confusing in his explanation...

Was Tim Wilcox standing behind the desk at the top of the hour or was it just me, it seems to be. He had the script tipping off his chest, and the red circle over the gallery was about head level with him.
