I notice this morning on Breakfast, the left-hand projection screen next to the desk is switched off - and looks rather cool; you can see straight through it to bits of set behind.
Is this the first deliberate use of the 'clever glass', or is it more a case of 'how many studio engineers does it take to change a lightbulb'?

Chris Eakin won't be on later as he's been doing the nationals on BBC1 today. As Simon & Tim have both already been on, I'd imagine it will be Julian Worricker tonight, unless they bring in Peter Dobbie earlier and maybe get Stephen Cole to do the late shift.
Louise Minchin must be back from holiday then. News 24 shifts I'd imagine will be going back to normal shortly with most presenters coming back from holiday. I wish Karin would be on News 24 more often. Simon and Sarah were great on Breakfast! Down with Kaplinsky!

It might still be Chris Eakin as he only did the One today, and not the Six. I havent seen Peter Dobbie for a while so he may still be on holiday. I'm sure that many people here would love to have four hours of Stephen Cole on their screens this evening though

I've been watching all the news channels recently and i can't believe how awful some of the presenting is. All the women have the same hair cut and colour and all the men are of a certain age, they're grey and they're so dull! SKy certainly have the best presenters, but closely followed by the ITV News Channel. I know that people like Lucy Alexander and Owen Thomas aren't everyone's cup of tea, but they've all got SOMETHING! Like a personality. As well as humour and being good at the serious stuff. Why are so many people on News 24 so terribly boring... and when there's breaking news so ummey and army.... how do you spell that by the way???
