BBC News 24

susan i think i wasted on news 24, i loved on the day of the strike, when she presented the news at one. i loved her voice as she closed the broadcast, much better then anna and darren, she should be given the one o clock news

That being the case, Marcus, perhaps they should take Anita MacNaught off the auto-cue operation, and get her back into the presenters chair once more, even if it is BBC N24 and not World. Her talents are totally wasted operating the auto-cue, she should be back on screen. Let's start a campaign.......Anita for August!!! Anita for August!!!

Erm... how long has Guto Harri been North America Business Correspondent?

i dunno but how many positions has he had there?? there was politicol and rome and one other i cant remeber i think

Having just watched that video, it has occurred to me that News 24 seems to have developed another recent change during double-headed presentation. I commented this week on the way the BOTH summaries are handled, and now I realise that more and more regularly both the presenters are behind the desk for the opening headlines, rather than one doing the main stories and the other trailing "Also to come in this hour" and telling us who they're going to be speaking to. Both changes are much better IMO.

Also, at 2000 last night, the intro to the top story was done, like it is often, with a side on shot of the presenters and the screen, however we saw both Chris and Gwenan, and Gwenan just looked at the camera and said nothing. Surely they could have zoomed in a bit (like the video above) or split the script between the two???

they've also started doing World style downward swoopy shots into the main presenter on the desk which is nice. I still think Tractor Cam is the best thing on that set so long as they cut to it in motion instead of starting it moving slowly then cutting from it

Is it me or are the TOTH titles much better rendered now i.e. "24" flowing graphics moves much better now. I just viewed Bail's capture of Wednesday's bulletin and during the BBC One News style titles for N24 the 24 graphic flows in much smoother than it did before.
