Maybe the ticker is slightly different on world. On N24, if the ticker ever animates on-screen before the logo, you can see two 'wings' pointing upwards where the logo is supposed to cover them. This is what I would tweak ie: just remove the 'wings' so its just a clean rectangle under the translucent logo.
The BBC World ticker is a clean rectangle while News 24 has as you put it "wings", I think someone actually needs to sort out the World ticker as it's meant to be 3D.
It has been 'sorted out' - it was deliberately changed from 3D to 2D so it would work when used with the 'watermark' version of the World tower.
No I am talking about the one used in N9 not the one used by pres.

The ticker looks perfectly fine on bbc world when they have the transparent logo. We this being used during other programme every fifteen minutes. Its fine, I personally wouldnt tweak it.

He was showing what it looks like on BBC World with a News 24 logo (World has no clock).
Yes... I know that WORLD has no clock, but I assumed that he was showing a mock for what N24 could look like with a translucent logo. If he was just trying to show what it looks like on WORLD, why didn't he just use the WORLD logo instead of putting N24 on instead?
Heres another one, with the clock, but I didnt think I would look right with a translucent clock so I keep it normal.

I can't stand the smug idiot. He think's he's so great. He was interviewing a airline captain about the Greece crash and kept talking all over him when the bloke was actually trying to say some interesting stuff. Terrible, and embarrasing!
Keep to presenting Click Online (or more accurately, Dick On Air!)

Enjoyed Cole's comment rather good and said in a tongue in cheek manner too.

Last week I saw some text which was in sentance case, but it has changed back to upper case.
I found this image showing sentence cast text in the ticker.

News 24 graphics a bit wacky again this morning. Did anyone notice when Kate passed over to Lyse Doucet outside the Gaza Strip live, it kept flashing up at the bottom:
MISHAL HUSAIN constantly. I wonder if this was a BBC World presenter title that somehow got mixed up with the News 24 graphics? Can anyone confirm if Mishal was on World at noon today?

She probably was, she has been on this time slot on BBC World for the past week if i remember correctly. I cant say that she was on then today, but I asume she was.

i like this idea, i cant stand a huge tower in the corner when watching something that isnt the main news on BBC News 24, this would work quite well i think

I can confirm that she is on this time slot today, so the news bulletins at the moment are being co-presented by Lyse Doucet in Gaza and Mishal Husain in London on BBC World. They seem to be simulcasting the first few minutes of each hour on News 24 as well.

Have News 24 taken to a new format for the BOTH? Usually, on double-headed presentation, we come from the sting to the presenter behind the desk who will introduce their colleague who has the news summary. Recently, though, whenever I have been watching, I have noticed they mix from the sting straight to the presenter in the summary pod. Much better IMO, the previous set-up was pretty pointless, after all. Now, all they have to do is move the summary to the right-hand (to the viewer) area, as they have done on several occasions, zooming in a little so we got the presenter (on a stool) and only the globe/24 on the screen. Looked much nicer than the usual guy with headphones on for a background!
