A potential future permanent News 24 presenter?

I think they already tried that. Didn't last for too long!

Who wants to sit behind a desk for 3 hours a day, being talked about by a load of geeks.

NOT ME!

Oh look. Page 100 of the News 24 thread. I bet a geek would have liked to have scored that one!

yes well done DOG. It took three posts to do it, but you made it. You must be very proud

For the spate of pointless posts quoting yourself in order to be the first to post on page 100 I've removed the first few posts where you started quoting yourself. If you want to be the first person to post on a new page do it by making proper contributions.

Cool

Please don't cause a large argument to errupt, I've seen a few Metropol threads and I'd rather not have to lock this thread. Thanks Cool

So back on the topic regarding BBC News 24...

I can see you being about as fun a moderator as an outbreak of pubic lice at a swingers' convention.

What the heck has something that happens on some other forum got to do with the price of fish?

I once used a very rude word on a chatline on viewdata Silicon Village.

Does that mean that THIS thread has to be locked, just because I've contributed?

I think we ought to keep our moderation to the matter in hand and not judge people by what may, or may not, happen in places elsewhere.

I might have run into somebody on my tricycle at the age of six, but does that exclude me from now holding a driving licence? NO, of course it doesn't.

Personally I thought it was a pretty reasonable bit of moderating...
