No, James, it was Darren Jordon.

Did anyone notice that they started wearing the poppies yesterday? I tuned into BBC World News on News 24 this morning and Tony Campion was wearing a poppy. I turned over to BBC World at 1000, and he'd removed it! I guess BBC World still has its no poppy policy.

I wonder why. Aren't poppies to symbolise people's death in combat from all over the world?

Bills on the six tonight I think.

Where's George? We has Jane Hill earlier in the week, George on for just a couple of days and Bill today (If Greg is correct)

It is Bill today. George hasnt had a break for a while actualy, or maybe because its Friday? Lots of presenting teams are different from the norm on Fridays.

George hasn't presented the Six on Fridays since he started presenting on BBC World earlier in the year. Also, good to see Bill on the Six again.

George didn't present World News Today on BBC World yesterday either.

Now he does both the Six and World News Today, George only works four days a week on both programmes.

A bit early for poppies I think - the week running up to it would be fine!

Also, isn't it technically product placement! You wouldn't see them read the news in a red nose would you!

World has never had a no poppy policy.
However , unlike Domestic outlets it doesnt have a compulsory poppy policy

Well, BBC World allow studio guests to wear poppies but I've never seen a BBC News employee wear a poppy on BBC World. It's a bit hard to believe that they could wear one if they wanted - I'm sure there are some people who work there who would wear one - so why don't they?

I'm not sure what I think about compulsory poppies - After all, Jon Snow has chosen not to wear one over on Channel Four in donkey's years, and (with the exception of the occasional shocked report from the Daily Mail), no-one seems to mind.

Why shouldn't there be personal choice at the BBC, too?

Look's like Moira's presenting the Saturday bulletins this weekend.

It looks as if this is going to become a regular occurance now that Darren's left...

I don't mean to offend anyone here, but even Moria must squirm at the level of gushing on this forum.

It's not uber-cool to be so obsessive.

Again, no offence intended.

No I agree Gavin. BBC WORLD in particular is rather annoying.

Whilst I certainly started the BIG MOIRA nonsense it was never to the ridiculous degree it's taken at the moment. It's just not funny.
