What an insular approach to take. Almost everything that happens on the planet has an impact on Britain.

As you get older you will realise this.

Or you could move to the United States, and live in a bubble with them.

Indeed. Why is a British life any more important than a Sudanese life? If course, it's not. To me a child dying of poverty in Africa is as important and upsetting as a child being murdered in the UK. If everyone thought the same the world would be a better, fairer place.

They didn't in London.
Maybe they've decided to let the regions do the update themselves like they did when The One Show was on. Or it could be a one off

Midlands had the 'International and National Headlines with a regional twist'

Makes sense, the nations have been doing it for long enough.

BBC Look North do it as well, Harry and Christa turn to Ian in a 'gallery' like position and and he reads the news from there. But i don't like it when theres no fast music and graphics for it.

The 6.55 summary from the national studio in London, that used to be taken by all the English regions (though not the Nations - Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales) has been replaced this week, by an extension to the regional news in England, with the regional programmes doing a closing headline sequence (just as they did in the days before the Six re-launched with Huw presenting, when the 6.55 headline sequence was introduced)

However, as was the case with The One Show, the national headlines are written in London, and pictures to cover them edited in London and fed to the English regions. This wasn't the case in years gone by, Look East used to just run stills grabbed from the Six O'Clock News ...

Err.... just how old do you think I am? Judging by your picture on Metropol I am slightly older than you!

I'm not saying I dont care for international news, but I want to have seperate progorammes for UK only news, in the same way we have regional news, for example:-

6:00 UK News and Sport
6:20 World News
6:40 Regional News
ST
STV Today
Glasgow has never gone back to London just before 7. Think all the nations are the same. Smile
