It seems the News Special tonight may just be a Question Time style programme.
Assuming that Huw will probably not present the Ten, and Fiona wasnt able to cover on Monday, maybe we will see George again. Hope so, he is far better on the Ten than his usual bulletin.

Sophie is on maternity leave isn't she?
Well she's down for next Tuesday-Friday according to the RT with Jane on Monday. I think she's just been on holiday because the baby isn't due until around Christmas time. I think Sian must be on holiday next week, she said on Breakfast a few weeks ago that she was going on holiday in August.

Dermot on the Ten tonight, with Darren on the Six, and Simon on Breakfast.
I know it's the summer silly season for presenters, but I can't help but think that Dermot will leave Breakfast soon - surely something more high proflie is on the horizon?

Also interesting that Simon McCoy presented Breakfast Mon-Fri this week but Bill was on today. Normally they would have used Bill as replacement for Dermot, wouldn't they?

There's an extended Breakfast this morning - scheduled for 0915 - 1000 - to cover the landing of the Shuttle. But NASA have just put that back by an hour and a half or so. I wonder if the schedule will get shuffled around, or the news special dropped?

NASA have now put it back until tomorrow - so the extended Breakfast may reappear!
