It seems that with the latest reshuffle BBC News are now being far more flexible with their presenters, perhaps due to Huw and George now doing much more work, with their extra shifts. So far we have seen:

1:00 News
MAIN: Sophie Raworth, Darren Jordan
RELIEF: Sian Williams, Jon Sopel, Jane Hill

6:00 News
MAIN: Natasha Kaplinsky, George Alagiah
RELIEF: Sian Williams, Dermot Murnaghan, Bill Turnbull

10:00 News
MAIN: Huw Edwards
RELIEF: Fiona Bruce, Natasha Kaplinsky, George Alagiah, Darren Jordon

and this is all in the space of a few weeks. In the 2003 relaunch, we only saw any flexibility after 3 months (the first time there was a change was when GA took a week off from the 6 in April IIRC).

Not to forget Jon Sopel and Jane Hill as relief for the SIX.

And I doubt that we will see George on the Ten in the future. Given that he already presents on BBC WORLD at midday, I doubt he'd stay at TVC until 10.

According to the Radio Times Sian Williams is down to present the Six next Monday with George Alagiah and again on Friday with… wait for it… Natasha Kaplinsky.

It's not a mistake. Remember that Breakfast a few years ago had Mishal and Natasha presenting. The all girl show with Julia at the LSE, Sue Thearle on Sport and Helen W on weather!!

Is George now definately doing only 4 days a week? If so, I dunno why they dont just have two regular stand-ins...(even if its just Darren and Fiona doing double shifts or something) as Natasha hardly ever does every day too...Surely it'd be better than having loads of different presenters?

So not really that much change as apart from Natasha on the Ten and perhaps, Jon on the one (for a while anyway) they all present them anyway on a semi-regular basis...

Moira should be on in a few minutes with a short stand-alone summary (sorry didn't post before, only just realised there's no Politics Show today).

EDIT: She's just said she'll be back at 5.35 this afternoon!

I saw that too - it took me by surprise I have to say!! Very Happy
Who's down to do the late bulletin tonight in the R.T? I wonder if she'll stay on for that...although that would mean her being in for over 12 hours...guess we'll have to wait and see...

Can someone perhaps get some pictures of Moira doing her first main prime time news bulletin in over 7 YEARS??!!

Well it wont be much different to her doing the summary will it? The only difference really will be her doing headlines but she's done them before anyway...

Here are some caps of Moira this evening (although as jamej said they aren't much different from ones posted before).

Did Moira do the Sunday AM bulletin this morning?

If so its a long day as she's done the lunchtime, early evening and now the late evening news too.

Whilst looking back at some images of the old blue set, I noticed there are a few parallels with the current one, even just as far as the shapes (Moira's hair being one exception, obviously).

Oh FFS get a life you lot. Moira Stuart presented the late news - so bloody what?! No need to post caps of most of the bulletin.
