Well I never thought Moira would present the Saturday bulletins every week but with Darren Jordon not doing weekends at the mo because he's doing the one, im very surprised with havent seen her yet.
I'm starting to wonder now whether we will ever see her on Saturdays. Although to be honest I don't think shes all that great - the people who have been doing the weekend bulletins - Simon McCoy, Jane Hill and Matthew Amroliwala are all better in my opinion.
Yes while I do rate Moira as a newsreader, I've never thought of her as being particulalry better than any of the current bunch. I think the main reason I'd like to see her present a bulletin on Saturday is for the sake of nostalgia, to be honest.
Someone forgot to turn studio sound down during a report about the earthquake, so we ended up with paper shuffling and a loud "HA HA HA HA" from Simon.

Yeah i heard that.. couldnt of happened at a worse time during the report on the earthquake. Simon laughing over images of people crying and total devestation really didnt look too good
Jane's just done the news summary. She must be on the One as well. She's down to do the Six today in the Radio Times (Natasha's down to be back tomorrow).
She can't be on holiday because she's been presenting the Sunday bulletins on Sunday AM and the Politics Show. So why can't she present some of the Saturday bulletins? I know she wasn't down to present all of them, but surely we should at least have seen her by now. In my view, she brings a unique sense of authority to bulletins that many of the younger presenters seem to lack.

Well, that'd be the person who was working sound, or might it have been a spaceman with magical powers.

I think it's pre-assumed that I was talking about the sound operator, unless you're inordinately thick.
Unless Michael Foale popped in to show us some tricks he'd learned?
