Interesting that during the World Cup on some days the BBC will have mastches kicking off at 5pm and then at 8pm. I presumed that this would mean that the News and Regional News would be squeezed in between 7 and 7.50ish.

However according to the BBC Press Office MOTD will run from 4.45 -7pm and then 7.30 -10.10pm. So will this mean the News/Regional news will be on BBC2? In that case we'l have another silly 'retune to analogue for your regional news' situation. Or it'll all be squeezed in between 7 and half 7 - although i fancy that will be for EastEnders.

When will Nationwide be airred?

When Euro 2004 was on the news was quite often shunted to the 7pm slot, with the regional news following at about 7.18pm. Although the full resources for the six o'clock news were put into the programme, i.e. having two presenters etc. The world cup will not be on twice every single day of the tornament, as the BBC are sharing the rights with itv, so i expect there will be lots of hour long edtions of Eastenders to componsate. itv will also face similar problems, when they have the rights to two games being played on the same day, so it is likely they will also have to implement hour long editions of the soaps, which will not clash with the BBC.

Has anyone seen StoryFix on the BBC News Player on news.bbc.co.uk?
It's a little 5 minute programme presented by Emily Maitlis which is billed as 'a look back at the week at high velocity' - or something like that - has this been on News 24?. Quite interesting anyway

Thanks for the caps, Newsreader. Appreciated!!

Our Moira looks tired in those, though. She is probably fed up, being shunted away to only ten minutes of on-screen presenting per week!!

I mean, if that's all they want her to do (perhaps it is HER choice though), then what's the point? The Breakfast presenters could cover the Marr slot, and the duty Newscaster or N24 13:00 duty presenter could do the Sunday noon slot.

I am a bit bemused as to why Moira has been reduced to a mere ten minutes per week!! (did I mention that already............?)
