Back to the Tomorrow (20th May) Schedule ----
I expect the early scheduling of the news has something to do with not losing too many viewers to ITV and The Princes Trust event.
A News Junction from 5pm onwards could have lost audience at a critical time in the schedule.

It's more likely down to the very late finish because of Eurovision - would cost too much to bring in two shifts so they just start later and get News 24 to do the early lunchtime summary. I wouldn't read anything into it.

I think it's time for them to get rid of the headline slug used on the 1/6/10 now that they have the new set. Surely something could be just inserted onto the video wall behind them. Maybe not a full picture, just a few words like on the slug. It just doesn't work with the News 24 tower as it is.

Interesting that during the World Cup on some days the BBC will have mastches kicking off at 5pm and then at 8pm. I presumed that this would mean that the News and Regional News would be squeezed in between 7 and 7.50ish.
However according to the BBC Press Office MOTD will run from 4.45 -7pm and then 7.30 -10.10pm. So will this mean the News/Regional news will be on BBC2? In that case we'l have another silly 'retune to analogue for your regional news' situation. Or it'll all be squeezed in between 7 and half 7 - although i fancy that will be for EastEnders.
