Was Bill scheduled for the six today/this week?

Nice to see him back though, a nice change from George definately.

It wasn't in the Radio Times: it says George Mon-Wed with Dermot Thu, Fri and Bill on Breakfast Tue, Thu and Fri.

You're right - it was good to see Bill on the 6 again. I thought Dermot had replaced him as second presenter, and Bill hasn't done it for a while now.

He was certainly better than George. No patronising delivery or over-emphasised words. As stupid as it might seem, this change of presenter made the bulletin infinitely more watchable than usual.

Yes he was good, he was last on in October a couple of weeks before Sophie went on maternity leave. All we need now is for Sian to join him on the Six Very Happy

I don't know whether anyone noticed but weatherman Peter Gibbs had his right arm in plaster on the 6 tonight.

New headline bed used on the 1 o'clock news there, its a hybrid of the old one and the mid point recap, the thunderclaps are more dramatic, and its more beepy in the background, and yes, they keep restarting it, making it sound worse than the old one. Plus the London opt cut in with the old bed!!

Edit >>>>>

Just played it back on the BBC news player that has the BBC One feed and its the normal bed, I was watching on News 24 then switched back to One for the local headlines, why two different beds?

Well it was probably a late presenter change so Dermot couldn't come in.

EDIT: Dermot and Natasha Tonight- BBC News Player and RT say George though.

Did anyone catch that last night- During the 9pm Adverts (or 9.30, can't remember) on BBC One we got a BBC News 24- Headlines every 15 minutes advert, the one with Huw at the end- and it came up saying BBC News- Whenever you want it! Is this new, as I haven't seen it before.

Another day another co-presenter for Tash! First Bill, then Dermot, now Darren's joining her on the Six tonight. She'd better watch it; she'll get a reputation if she's not careful! Wink

Wasn't Darren on the One as well? I'm surprised Darren's got the Six though, especially if Bill was free today.

I think a series of ads have been on the go with Huw, Ben, Kate and Emily etc since the presenter line up came into play.
Although, I have not seen them on BBC One..so I would guess they were new to the channel. Wink

Indeed. There were initally concerns that they'd make the 'launch' date but have been used on News 24 since the presenter reshuflle. There have recently, since Saturday I believe, been played on BBC One (noticable with the 'BBC News' v/o)
