All the best Anna. Another of the news greats gone. Anyone remember when she lost her voice and Sophie had to step in? (thats obviously been mentioned in this thread).

Thanks for that Foxpresident. I thought I'd missed it with no chance of seeing it again. I don't know if the full One O' Clock bulletin will be replaced in 7 minutes time though!

Ooops - the Six O'Clock News titles were just used by mistake there, on the One. Obviously someone can't tell the time...

i thought moira had gone of her own accord but was she forced out due to the revamp on breakfast - i read that the main presenters are now going to be doing the on the hours slots. Maybe its a money saving exercise.
perhaps she could franchise out and go into consultancy to train some of the dreadful reporters that are out and about at the mo

Well, that's the contentious issue with Moira - she is a newsreader, not a journalist, so probably wouldn't be able to contribute much to training for reporters.

And nice touch from the Network CA as well specifically referring to Anna "presenting her last lunchtime news here on BBC One" I assume she'd have heard that?
Do you know if BBC ONE London on analogue opts out to run their own symbol into the news, or do they take network?
BBC London's continuity is the network alternative if regional continuity fails. It comes from TVC - so yes she'd have heard that on the talkback.
