Couple of clangers on the 6 tonight, a caption referred to a "teror plot" and then they showed yesterdays test match report instead of today's.

Not to mention goldern girl, Tash, managing to muddle particually every sentence she had; must have left her teeth at home. Bless.

Sorry, but I think quite a few people on this forum will agree with me when I say; GIVE IT A REST.

In a large quantity of the posts I've seen from you, you seem to make valid points, but then in the remaining load you consistently say Natasha Kaplinsky is incompetent, not doing her job properly, just there for looks, etc. and it's just SO tiresome. Ok, she's not the greatest newsreader and she gets a few things wrong sometimes but for Christ's sake, she's only human. Lay off.

Same goes for other newsreaders, they don't deserve to be consistently bashed and criticised when I'm sure their bosses and colleagues will do it for them. If they give me the news at the end of the day, what does it matter what other stuff they do?

Does anyone know why Natasha was presenting 6 o'clock news by herself tonight?

She wasn't - George anchored the first part of the programme from Pinner, where Norman Kember lives.

Good post.

I really think that some people don't understand that newsreaders are REAL PEOPLE...who pick their noses, goto the toilet, and have lives outside of the studio.

Not just that but what do the people who slate her want to achieve by posting that?

Well, aren't these people employed because they are supposed to be the best at what they do? Too frigging right they should be pulled up for making constant mistakes, they're being paid to read something out loud and get it right.

Maybe so, but if the errors are caused by something beyond your control (technical glitches on the autocue for example, or pandamonium in the gallery putting you off.....), then it is surely ok for one to make a mistake??

Christ, I make mistakes in my job all the time, eh Joel???? (But, then again, look what happened to me............. Wink )

Sian Williams on the One today, she seems to be doing more cover these days, perhaps she will be the main stand in for Sophie on the One and Darren will become a stand in on the Six with Jane?

The latest date for the One & Six to be simulcast is April 10th. Apologies of this is posted anywhere else but I can't find it if it is.

Is this when BBC News gets a new look on BBC1 too, or is that a few more months away yet?

Just to confirm - Anna leaves the One at the end of April with Darren taking over until Sophie joins at the end of May/beginning of June...I presume this is when BBC One News gets a whole new look.
