Probably not worthy of a new thread, but I just flicked on to BBC Parliament on satellite (to watch PMQs without too much clutter), and noticed them running a ticker, just above their usual graphics - a 'have your say on PMQs on our website' type thing. It was relatively unobtrusive, but I reckon it would have probably fitted in below the portcullis.
Sorry to sound like someone out of touch....but why did the TEN come from the News 24 set last week. If you go to the TEN website there is a link to watch it. Fiona Bruce is in the News 24 studio?

N6 was set to go but there were technical problems so N24 were used. It was a last minute thing as you can probably tell!
The latest date for the One & Six to be simulcast is April 10th. Apologies of this is posted anywhere else but I can't find it if it is.
Is this when BBC News gets a new look on BBC1 too, or is that a few more months away yet?
There is a lot of talk but not much action, which pretty much sums the BBC up at the moment. The 1 & 6 simulacast is a 'consolidation' excercise (spin for saving money) Incidentally they have now got the charter more or less as it was wanted, apart from Ofcom getting involved with service liciences. Each channel will have one and if there is any major change Ofcom have to be consulted by the new board of trustees. Its a bit fuzzy as whether or not Ofcom can get involved in editorial content.
