Yep, no astons here in NW.

The headline opt here in the NW sounded awful crashing in the normal BBC 1 headline bed on the regional headlines from N24's bed.


BBC London took the N24 bed, but that may have been due to the fact N24 took the London headlines?

So will Fiona stay to finish the news hour then i wonder?

Or perhaps N24 and BBC1 get the update, and share a weather forecast then N24 cut to the rest of the news hour with the 2300-0100 presenter? We shall see!

Sorry, meant to say earlier no name astons at all here in N Ireland either - just the standard BBC1 slugs on both BBC1 and N24. Presumably the same in all regions.


It was intresting that News 24 had astons, yet BBC 1 did not, could they not just use the astons on BBC 1?

Also could this be the beginning of the changes, with BBC 1 moving in with News 24 for a couple of days while a temporary studio is set up?

No. N6 was set up and ready to go, but had technical problems.
(The nationals will be moving to TC11, so won't need to share with News 24 like you've suggested)

They were planning to have their own weather. They're taking it separately anyway.

Edit - and a shaded box with BBC NEWS MMVI that looked rather better than plain white text!

Yes, that wasn't the plan earlier - they're taking the feed direct though so the two networks are separate now.

Same weather on N24 and BBC1.

Really good N24 BOTH sting and headline bed! And the closing titles were good as well.
