Mike Embley is tipped to return to BBC 0ne to replace Alagiah as male anchor of the Six 0'Clock with Jane Hill joining him.

That actually all sounded reasonable until Mike Embley cropped up. However, accept my apologies Freeview Cool Man if it is true.

EDIT: And if it is true, who'd replace Jane alongside Chris Eakin on N24?

As I said, tipped, nothing has been entirely finalised.

The changes on News 24 have not been discussed within BBC NCA as yet, that should be shortly however.

Who saw the big mistake today on the news? The titles were wrong so we were all watching the 10 O'clock news apparently! OMG i thought. Titles in the studio boards were right though and lucky Anna Ford got the right name! Wow!
I think I'll be taking your exclusive news with a pinch of salt.

So let me get things right, your saying that a woman, and my feelings on this are perfectly clear, such as Natasha, described as a rating's viagra would be moved from the six, months after seemingly been given the job and replace her with Jane Hill, star of News 24.

"Salt!"

I also find it quite interesting that you mention Mike Embley, again somewhat of a weird choice there but if these are "hot tips" who am I to stand in the way of idle gossip...

"Continue!"

What a load of complete and utter rubbish over the last few pages of this thread.

The only fact is that Sophie will be taking over on the One.

It's possible to work out that Jane Hill is clearly due a slightly more prominent role than currently. Natasha has sent ratings for the '6' up considerably. There may be a shake up for the '10' too. Any changes they make to presenter line-ups can usually be worked out with some hard thinking, it's all common sense.

And the interlinked speculation with News 24 is unrelated, it's the time of year when presenters are often missing - holidays to take before the end of the financial year, freelance commitments, training, other commitments within the BBC, etc. Remember that's why News 24 have relief presenters like Tim, Julian and Rachel, and they usually work at least half a week each every week. It is also worth remembering that certain presenters may be contracted to work less weeks per year than others.

Ah thank God for some common sense!

But, at the risk of shooting myself in the foot with a presenter line-up mock, what about this (going on News 24's post): More prominent role for Jane Hill, shake up for the Ten... perhaps the Ten may go 2 headed with Huw & Jane being the main presenters. Jane would just have to stay on for half an hour after her normal slot. But would she be able to run from N8 to N6 during the weather, trails, and the Ten headline sequence. And be briefed for the Ten. No, she couldn't do it. Not even Jane. Forget that I said anything!

Unless she disappeared during the Business/Sport news? I doubt this would happen, plus it is good to have a 'major' presenter on News 24.

I heard "The Six" is gonna be presented by Natasha and that guy she danced with on Strictly Come Dancing. As is Breakfast and "The Ten". They will also be dancing in the background of "The One" whilst Sophie presents. This is, of course, only what is being tipped, nothing is finalised.

I know but I can't say anything although I think some N24 stuff will become public in the not too distant future.

My source has his failings I suppose. That much appears to be coming through now. Damn him.

EDIT: He lied to me all along. Crying or Very sad Whoops.
