Guess who's doing the news this evening - Moira. Darren's doing the ten though.

I highly suspect that may be a mis-print. IIRC, it has happened before. If Darren Jordon is down to to the late evening bulletin, then he'll probably show up for the teatime one too. Having said that, it would be fabulous if Moira did make an appearance - it would be reminiscent of the Virtual Era.

I agree as Moira should be on the Newsdesk on Breakfast anyway tomorrow so its a little late to say she has to be up at 03.30 to come into work the next day. Also, Moira is away on leave at the moment so there is no certainty that she would be back anyway.

Breakfast presenters would usually go to bed at say, 9:00, so why is it too late?

I thought they would go to bed at around 7.30 to get around eight hours sleep - obviously they don't need as much sleep as I do!

Yes the Radio Times said she would present the evening news on July 31st last year. Turned out it was Jane Hill and besides, she was on Breakfast Briefing as usual the following morning.

I do think the BBC are really bad with news bulletins on a Sunday. Why 7:35? It's too close to the next bulletin at ten and too long after the previous bulletin, at around midday. I would be much better at around about 5:30 like on a Saturday. Last Sunday the evening bulletin went out at 4:20.

"To prepare for the early starts, Natasha admits that she now goes to bed at 8pm each night. She gets up at 3.20am the following morning."

(on the video Natasha says "if I'm asleep by 9.30 then I'm on a winner")

With the Ten simulcast starting tonight, it has been suggested that the 'slug' used bottom left on the 1/6/10 will need to be removed on the Ten so it doesn't clash with the Tower.

Do we think this will happen, and if so will it also diappear on the 1 & 6? If anyone can see the 1 today have a look if it's there.

New astons on the One. But of changes we can see tonight? News 24 "LIVE" aston also adopted.

New text slugs have been introduced, they are a red box on the left with BBC NEWS written on, they are in the same position of the screen as the N24 tower, and then there is a black bit joined onto the right of this with the story info, but the bottom where a N24 clock would be is slightly transparant.

The live aston is now in line with N24 at the top of the screen and the name aston will line up with the height of the tower. It is made up of the old red bar on top, but a bigger black bar on the bottom, with the lower part being slightly transparant, like the text slugs.

Looks even cheaper than before!

Oh dear, doesn't sound good! Perhaps they'll be able to at least animate the straps during the 10 because News 24 gallery will be able to control them?

I was only half listening, but I'm sure I heard them introduce a guest as being in their "temporary London studio". The guest was sitting with a London Skyline keyed behind him.

Did I mishear this, or have the BBC got a temp setup for some reason?

Dearie me. Those redesigned astons look awful.
