Did anyone else see the 11am quickie with Anna Ford this morning?

She said "HELLO" over the top of the continuity
Then her mic was down when the actual bulletin started
She sounded like she was about to loose her voice
There was a double annimation during the bulletin too

Not bad for 90 seconds!

I saw the bulletin, it sounded like she was about to burst into a coughing fit, when giving the headlines, but when she signed off she was fine, i thought this a bit weird.

Her voice did sound bad, and the bulletin felt very slow and disjointed compared to normal.

Was it her that shouted HELLO at the beginning? it sounded like a man!

Will she reappear at 1pm or will she be replaced?

The reason I thought it was her was because I thought "That was Anna Ford", but I don't know if it was before or after the CA said her name..... I wasn't really paying attention enough other than to spot a mistake and switch out of standby Laughing

Um.... they usually use whoever's about to go on N24 because Anna is busy at 12:13.

Fair enough..... don't usually have BBC1 on in the mornings.

Anna was sounding better at the start of the 1, but by the end she was sounding a bit croaky again.

It has probably already been discussed but I'll ask it anyway - does anybody know Anna Ford's last day with the BBC before her retirement?

I note that Fergus Walsh is now "Medical Correspondent" rather than "Health" or "Science" as he has been before. His role will become very important if this bird flu thing escalates...

Guess who's doing the news this evening - Moira. Darren's doing the ten though.

I highly suspect that may be a mis-print. IIRC, it has happened before. If Darren Jordon is down to to the late evening bulletin, then he'll probably show up for the teatime one too. Having said that, it would be fabulous if Moira did make an appearance - it would be reminiscent of the Virtual Era.

I agree as Moira should be on the Newsdesk on Breakfast anyway tomorrow so its a little late to say she has to be up at 03.30 to come into work the next day. Also, Moira is away on leave at the moment so there is no certainty that she would be back anyway.
