Here's a cap of Moira on the Politics Show . The dimensions of the picture are slightly different. If you look closely you can see the blue shadow of the CSO on her hair and jacket. Also there is only the one angle used and if there is a two way (not very often) they use a graphic (as opposed to the plasma in N6)

Two things. Why is the 10 o clock news only 15 minutes tonight? It is a working day after all. Also, during Huw's introduction package for Andrew Harding's report, the graphics looked just a little bit like Sky News graphics, but from the other side. Did anyone else notice this?

The shrinking of the Ten pre Christmas Break has been done for several years now, I'm not over keen on it though.

they obviously won't care but the N6 shot should be closer in on Moira's face.

EDIT: George Alagiah is so wooden.

Very strange tonight, there's no Ten O'Clock News on BBC1.

It's instead at 10.30pm, head to head with ITV News

I suppose they are just about getting away with it considering its the first day after Christmas

Is he due to do a bulletin tonight? Shortage of presenters or are they trying him out?

I don't understand this idea of the BBC 'trying out' presenters on BBC1. Simon McCoy has presented news for years both at Sky News and BBC News 24. I'm sure he's quite capable of reading an autocue as part of a heavily pre-planned and polished bulletin without the need to be 'tried out'. It's not as if he's going from bulletins to a news channel. If anything, it's an easier direction to go in.

Precisely, the format of a BBC1 bulletin is different to News24.

So why are you asking whether BBC are trying him out then?

According to the Radio Times Moira will be reading the news at 7.35 on Sunday Night. However i expect this to be a misprint,as it has happened before, but we could all be in for a suprise. Might be worth a look.
