Sadly I don't watch the six 0 clock news now, not until Sophie returns as not a fan of Kerplunk.
I wonder if CIN will become the Kerplunk show??, she will be appearing on everything that night and take over, sorry meant talk over everyone...

Is it just me or is Kaplinsky putting extra effort into her six o clock bulletins in order to be taken seriously again as a journalist?

Who did the Ten on Friday evening during CiN? I noticed that Huw appeared on CiN, as did Fiona.

I thought at the time it must have been a rush for her to get ready and changed for CIN. It was also a test of character - having to present the terrible news about the Police Officer being murdered before launching into CIN.
All in the name of charity though, well done to them all.
(Except for Kaplinsky, clearly after yet more self promotion)

Oh do shut up. I can't say I'm a great fan of the woman myself, but to single out her efforts for charity as selfish just because you don't like her is just petty and childish. She gave her time and got into the spirit of it just like everyone else, and her efforts - as much as the efforts of the other celebrities who appeared on the night - will have contributed to the evening's high total.
It's stupid, vacuous statements like yours that make visiting the forum more of a chore and less of a pleasure.

As I mentioned on another thread, I actually thought Ms Kaplinsky was very good on CiN. She certainly suits that type of programme more than News, IMO.

I agree, she seems more relaxed and at home on Strictly, CIN etc. than on the news. It made me laugh, though (in the RT ), when she said that CIN was an opportunity to have fun because they have to be serious the rest of the year. While this is true, she has done lots of other entertainment programmes where she hasn't had to be 'serious'.
