It seems to be getting later and later. I was sure I heard not so long ago that Anna Ford was leaving in February next year. When she does eventually go I suspect Darren Jordon will go to the One Mon-Thurs then I can see either Sian Williams or Natasha Kaplinsky taking over Friday and weekends considering that in six months time Sophie will be back. Alternatively, if Natasha does better on the Six then she may stay there and Sophie may take over the One.

Oh good god - just got a glimpse of Tash sitting on the desk giving a promo for the six o'clock news straight after newsround! The pout and the batting of eyelids went into overdrive!!!

There was one ahead of The Weakest Link on BBC Two. It reminded me somewhat of the 3.20 News Update in Yorkshire where Ian White would sit on the desk! However, I do think Natasha will do better on the Six as on the odd occasions she has done weekends she has done quite well, and better than on Breakfast.

Sorry, I actually would have far prefered Sian and Jane to cover and think the Beeb have made too much hype about her on the Six (please see my comments in the Sophie Raworth thread) but thought, as everyone was talking about her, I might as well publish the caps that I'd already taken.

For some reason, I still find the current virtual newsroom background a little distracting. Too 'crowded' I guess.

I think they should use the background that they use on the daytime updates, but mabey make some of it red and white, and probley have the windows able to be turned into screens. I might mock it up to show you wat i mean
