Just flicked through the Sky Guide and it seems that BBC1 Scotland is showing BBC News at 5pm whilst network and the other nations have it at 6.05. Will it be one specially done for Scotland? Or will Scotland do it themselves? Reporting Scotland follows it.

Oh well, it's on in 10 minutes, I'm sure I'll soon find out.

...and it's a simulcast with News 24. How exciting.

Anyone know why the evening news is coming from the News 24 studio?

Well, that bulletin felt like a mess. Huw had to be filling time from 6 until 6.05. Why couldnt News 24 have had the weather at 6 and then start properly once? Or, move the schedules to start just before 6. This was just messy in my opinion.

News24 as the least viewed channel - follows BBC ONE not the other way around.

6pm was strained yes, but nothing really 'out of the ordinary'

Well it was - having the headlines twice in five minutes was ridiculous. It would have made much more sense to run the 5pm hour for an extra 5 minutes!

Interesting that they do that on New Year's Eve, yet maintain a seperate national news operation on Christmas Day
