Only an idiot would write that article. Three words sum up why the newsreaders do it - It's for charity! Duh.

Why does doing things for charity mean we should accept the crap they put on the tv? It's just an excuse

Do you mean the BBC News performance for CIN? If so, then yes, 'the crap' that appears for less than 5 minutes every other year in an effort to raise money for people up and down this country is such torture to endure. I don't quite know if I will survive it this year.

Yep - it's a James Bond send-up based loosely on Thunderball.

Bill Turnbull is the man himself, squaring up against Jeremy Bowen's stint as the evil villain. Kate Silverton, Natasha Kaplinsky and (if I remember rightly) Sophie Raworth make up the bevy of seductive Bond girls.

It's always the same ones isn't it. Jeremy Bowen!. He's not even a presenter anymore yet joins them once a year for the annual CiN sketch

He reminds me of those teachers at school who always managed to end up being the character dressed in drag in the end of year performance

Couple of things,

yesterdays six update used the full titles and not a sting but were faded out before unwarpping onscreen.
