There's an extended Breakfast this morning - scheduled for 0915 - 1000 - to cover the landing of the Shuttle. But NASA have just put that back by an hour and a half or so. I wonder if the schedule will get shuffled around, or the news special dropped?

NASA have now put it back until tomorrow - so the extended Breakfast may reappear!

Possibly, depends what time tomorrow though.

I wish Michael Buerk would do the 10 on occasions. One of the best people to have sat behing the BBC News desk.

Have there been problems at TVC today? Seem to have had multiple cockups on the six.

The junction into the six featured a black hole when a trail failed to appear, which was eventually faded up ( observed on BBC One Yorks and Lincs via DSat)

Then during the six a report wouldn't play and then a later package had a lot of picture disturbance. Also Clive Myrie's package wasn't cut off soon enough to avoid his outcue - it cut to him live after his report.

Were these related problems or just a coincidence?

She only presented the midday bulletin , because whoever does the news update on News 24 Sunday ( usually Moira) does the midday update.

And no, it isn't her first time, she did it a few weeks ago.

They would have to be related problems in two separate buildings. BBC ONE is no longer transmitted from TV Centre.

For those of you who prefer Peter Sissons doing BBC1 rather than News 24, then watch out for him at 17.15 tonight. He did the lunchtime summary, and said he'd be back later.

It looks as though Chris Eakin will be making a BBC1 appearance today.

Indeed, on a shorter than normal One, whilst Anna Ford has just appeared this evening. Wonder who will do the shorter Ten?

If I recall I think it said in the Radio Times it was Anna Ford for the Ten too

Im just watching a repeat of the One on the BBC website and Chris Eakin is great on the Nationals

Do you think this is a sign Chris Eakin may be moving to Nationals?

Probably not - he merely filled in on a bank holiday bulletin. It's usual for there to be 'unusual' presenters on a bank holiday, especially in August when many presenters are on their own holidays.

Well Anna's still here, so I assume it will be her.
