What BBC News studio, titles and graphics do you all prefer and why?

I always liked the post 99 studio, it was origional, and very professional looking, I liked the colours and the newsroom backdrop. The music was also very original for the news in those days. But looking back, it makes me realise how good the music actually was for the pre99 newsroom, and how much more serious it was, just as the news should be.

I liked the current set at first, but I think it is too plain now, and it is a poor backdrop.

Next time, they should give us a real newsroom for a backdrop.

I can't stand the current look. I did like the 1999 version, though. However, my ultimate favourite period was the 1993-1999 virtual era. That was fantastic - powerful music, simple yet authoritative look, and reputable newscasters.

1993 - 1999, best news music EVER. I only thnk they could have done more with the studio. Maybe changing the backdrop for each program, and/or season.

The only thing likable about the current look is the globe.

The current look and sound is horrible. The national studio is a right cock-up.

The music is lifeless and sounds cheesy, dated and tacky. You can only flog an old horse so many times!

I thought the virtual one was brilliant.

Had authority and kicked ass over ITN's weird "same old" music.

The big glass block in the studio as the camera pulled back was brilliant.

Different colours for lunch, tea and late. Brilliant idea, and amazing how it worked!

Bring that idea back... oh hang on ITV News have got that now!

I liked the 99-03 studio and music. The music to me is modern enough for news all though I espcially liked the N24 music at that time. The studio, and the backdrop, appeared realistic, so much so that I actually thought that it was real!

No, he means ITV News has now got all the virtual reality stuff the BBC had in the early 1990s.

Just found out that the next major rebranding for BBC News will be in 2007!!! - only 2 years to wait then!

Also, has anyone heard of any developments on the BBC Weaher graphics - where are they???
