But if it was just Studio E that was having problems they could have moved to A or even D to continue.
I'm just basing that on the London segments from Newsday seemingly being OK.
In any case, would it really be worth shifting to A or D for the sake of half an hour?
Assuming it's just a problem with Studio E, then it's not needed again until tomorrow lunchtime, thanks in part to the State Opening of Parliament (but even then its first use is normally not until 11 because of Victoria Derbyshire).
Plenty of time to get things fixed...albeit overnight.

Babita Sharma is carrying on with domestic news.
23:44 will be the interesting point as Singapore can go to air without passing through London but the sport studio in Salford cannot.

They were having technical problems at the start of Newsday which seems mostly managed now (but they still seem unable to sit at their desks for some reason)
That said at this point it wouldn't really make sense to swap back to Newsnight in a mid-broadcast.
Newsday is done completely standing, at least the introduction is. It has done since it relaunched in the new Singapore studio.
It's now somewhat after 11.15 and Newsday still on, so it looks like that will now stay (but I don't know what will happen at the back hour). However, maybe the technical problems aren't sorted yet and, if they get sorted, maybe the programme has yet to switch suddenly to Newsnight who knows?!?

Don't think so, Babita is now sitting at the desk carrying on with UK stories.
What odds on an unscheduled HardTalk after this news summary?

I'm pretty sure Salford can go directly to air via World presentation without going through NBH.

She's just mentioned that due to technical problems they are unable to bring Newsnight.
Still captioned "Newsday" - presumably this half hour is just on the News Channel and World is doing something else?

World has Asia Business Report as usual.

It must do every weekday night, mustn't it? Doesn't Gallery C have to play out the back half hour on the News Channel and provide the UK ticker and countdown, etc?
