Well Newsday is on an hour early!

Be interesting to see if we get the News channel in E or A at 11pm.

Or no News Channel at all.

They've joined BBC World. Newsday isn't on early, as such, as it's the first of the two editions that happen on BBC World which means I assume News Channel will now get the two editions.

I think it's early for UK viewers. They'll get all three editions of Newsday this evening. Rico did reference the unusual nature of UK viewers joining the World News only edition.

Will Babita be on the back half hour providing UK news?

Are there some comms issues with Rico in Singapore? He just walked off the catwalk and walked back on again not seeming to know where he was supposed to be!

He was walking to the desk when the VT that was playing fell off air and quickly went back to pick up.

Is the 1am edition GMT time a repeat of the second edition then or do they make 3 editions?

I thought there was one at 11pm BST and one at midnight BST (I can't think about GMT at this time of the year). I think that makes two separate editions of the programme. I don't know for sure though as I don't normally get BBC World at 11pm lol.

They've given up on the news tonight and gone home early!!! Must be a serious incident?? Or some virus? It doesn't take my computer that long to log off and boot up again.

They must have spilled something in the gallery - maybe Huw's beer:

We might still get Newsnight at 11.15pm, since it's a repeat. Easy to segue into it while World News is on an ad break.

Any issues on the London bulletin or Newsnight?

I'm going to put a purely speculative theory out there - given the heatwave, aircon failure?

I was going to say I'm keeping watching to see if the Newsnight repeat suddenly comes on at 11.15.

As seems to me so often usual with statements made by organisations, or by politicians, they don't actually clarify on the point. "We've joined Newsday ... while we sort things out" - could mean they'll come back to what they were going to do when the problem is sorted. Or could depend on whether the problem continues not to be sorted by midnight. Or could mean they will stay with BBC World now for the night.

I don't think their wording was intentional - we've joined ... while we sort "things" [whatever those are!] out - but just the usual way that people tend to think when they write things that aren't specific on a point that they probably didn't imagine.

Info: I have Asperger's, so I tend to think in a concrete and detailed way that clarifies every point specifically and isn't vague.

No UK inserts it seems during the break, we're getting 'The World in History'.
