The EPG on Freeview said the Special was going to end at 14:30 - so it actually overran.
BBC News Special has been cut short on BBC One and they are now showing Escape to the Country.

It is fine for a news programme to broadcast a picture like this. The only reason not to broadcast it would be if the body could be identified. Was it moving shots or a photograph BTW?

While the News Special was on, the Sky EPG had it running until 15:00 when the next BBC News is on anyway but now that it has finished it is still showing as the current programme but with a finish time of 14:30. This is on BBC One South East.
Wtf?? The Daily Politics is currently broadcasting a clear-as-day image of a body covered in a sheet of material while they speak to a local MP on the phone.
Unbelievable.

I have only seen a photograph, that same one has been on BBC, ITV and Sky.

I think it was originally planned to be until 1500, then later shortened.

I disagree - it's not fine at all.

Maybe you would like to add a bit more to your post so we can get a discussion going?

It's a fairly normal thing to show in such a news story. TV and the press will often show all or part of a covered body in-situ or being carried away.
If you watch some channels you'll see a lot worse than that!
