Anyone see today's BBC One News Update at 12.15pm?

Emily Maitlis presented with several problems, sound then vision was delayed or lagged which sent it out of sync.
Sound issues continued towards the end. The Weather summary at the end was missed out although Emily spoke about it. She then said at the end the next update was at 12.15pm (or quarter past tweleve)

So either that was recorded for earlier and played again,
Recorded earlier and accidently played again,
Recorded with the mistake or just one big problem Confused

Or there were countless sound and vision problems, because of technical difficulties with the sound and vision, and Emily forgot this was the 12:15pm update? Or the autocue wasn't changed accordingly? AIUI they don't record these.

Looks (and sounds) like her microphone fell down her top. No sign of it at the start and then after all that noise, there it is at the end, clipped to her jacket. Just unlucky that while this was happening the pictures and graphics also went to cock.

News at 10 is going to be moving studios just before the election. For the days in the week running up to the election, the bulletin will be coming from election studio, which is TC1.

News led a merry jig

The BBC's flagship bulletin, The Ten O'Clock News, is to share a studio with Strictly Come Dancing. No, really.

Bulletin editor Craig Oliver wants Huw Edwards and the team to move into Strictly's TC1 studio in the first week of May. The one-off re-location is part of BBC plans to unify election coverage, with TC1 also to be used by David Dimbleby, Emily Maitlis, Jeremy Paxman, & Co on election night. BBC1's Breakfast will be presented from there the next morning. "We want that set to be used by The Ten O'Clock News during the final week to make sure that people feel that it's an election hub," says Oliver. BBC's election coverage is being badged with the coloured pins logo designed by the BBC graphics whizz Julie Tritton. Oliver says the multicoloured "nodes" on the logo represent the BBC's recognition of "the many different parties taking part".

Well that's a surprise, a BBC News Special on BBC One from 11:30 to 12:15 for these airport closures. It's major but I didn't think they'd actualy go as far as interupting the schedule.

It's not really a developing story - flights have been cancelled, check airlines for more info - that's it!

Of course it is. Can you recall Uk airspace ever being shutdown? I can only recall London airspace being closed during 9/11.

It's historic.
