Not only Broadcasters, it currently is way ahead on Google news with almost 10,000 News sources clocked against it. 3,000 more than any other. It's a valid story in my opinion really, you don't have a sport shaken to it's core, with it's economic future doubted, the effect of a long term Woods withdrawal is considered terminal for some US events and it's broadcasting there, by one individual often.
Leading with the Tiger Woods affair will get viewers in, not important news to most but of course, who cares what's important news as long as the viewing figures tally up!
Sky News and ITN are near my house! The Murder of My Local Shopkeeper, but BBC News aren't here? Why?
I recall a similar incident near to my hometown a few years back...yet it didn't get coverage on any national news outlet...just because the opposition are there, doesn't automatically mean that the BBC should be there...to me its not that worthy of a national news story...but then again, who am I to decree whats worthy or not...
I didn't see any error either, I imagine the report wasn't quite ready in time so lacking a sign off or something?
I doubt they'd have apologised for that. hardly an 'error' to the viewer, really? Normally if that happens, they just say 'that was X reporting from Y there' - don't they?
