What shape is N9?

Is it like an egg-timer or could it be used as one large set?

Well that went well didn't it!

First on BBC one we got to see the end of the countdown
Then we got to see the news channel presenter walking off
Then we failed to see some video clips
Then the BBC DOG and clock appeared
Then when Jane has given up waiting for direction and moved on to the next headline we got the headline thunderclap mid sentence!

Did I miss anything!?!?!

Poor Jane, did well to hold that together!

The lighter backdrop of the nationals does look better than what N6/ TC7 normally gives! Always seems too dark to me!

Agreed, the backdrop they temporally have appears much brighter and clearer. They should recreate that backdrop and use it when they are back in their studio

Does the current National part of the newsroom set in N9 come from the same place where World News Today used to broadcast from (with the curved desk)?

I can't quite picture where everything is in N9. Does anyone have a good image of what the whole of it looks like?

I haven't seen an image of it, but I assume since it's printed, it's at a much higher resolution than the Barcos could display. The colours would be more accurate, vibrant, and uniform since they're not on the screen. The frosted glass effect looks awful and flat, I would assume the temporary backdrop would look better.

Does anybody know if N6 will get a new Lightwell newsroom backdrop? I think an update is needed.

How long are they anticipating they will use the current Lambie Nairn branding for - until Broadcasting House, or is that wishful thinking?

I feel there are a few tweaks needed to the newsroom backdrop, to make better use of the Barcos and make it look less dark, pale and lifeless. It should be sharper and a bit more colourful.

Could they somehow put a love shot of one of the newsrooms they have and use behind?

Here are some caps from last 2 days, the shot with 2 presenters looks very nice ,especially with the Christmas tree. Also the main presenter shot looks much better than what they used on BBC World.

Some good photos of the layout of N9 are in this thread, from the European Elections in June:

That shot is mostly fake though. It was keyed. The lightbox didn't extend that much. Here are some better photos:
