The One is much more of a live interview based format, with two-ways and throws, and usually has less 'studio production' than the Six and Ten, and doesn't heavily feature studio pre-records. It has quite a busy, energetic feel. The Ten is much more the 'bulletin of record' with much more heavily produced packages - including studio production. The Six is sort of a half-way house between the two!
The Six and Ten have more production in terms of big-screens (which are more involved than on the One often) and can also use the studio for pre-recorded chroma-key sequences (the One is limited to a basic mid shot in the small CSO clip studio) They can also sometimes have more complicated headline sequences, which benefit from rehearsal.
Whilst the One gets a very strong share (it certainly was at around 50% of the total audience at one stage a few years ago), its audience figures are much smaller than the Six and Ten as there are far fewer people watching TV during daytime.
