Sophie was live at the St Paul's Cathedral and Kate Silverton in the studio.

Anyone just see the abysmal end to tonights news a few minutes ago. The closing shot started as normal only for the camera to spin round and show Anita McVeigh stood in the dark rehearsing her scripts. Very embarassing!

Indeed it did happen on BBC1 as well.

I think the idea of some kind of spin or movement of the camera is a good one but just without including the NC presenter. Perhaps some knd of zoom out shot?

News at 6 in N6 tonight!

Any particular reason the 6 is in N6 tonight?

I'm guessing it's either because TC7 is being used for Question Time this evening or the studio is considered too vulnerable for a network news broadcast given the protestors outside. TC7 is on the ground floor in the main part of TVC and has an external door, IIRC. N6 is further inside the building, if I recall, and obviously has no external access.
