Explain something to me please?!

We've just got Tiscali TV (a broadband tv service) and I'm watching BBC1. Because our aerial is completely worthless we only get the service down our line, so only get BBC1 London. Yet, while definately watching BBC1 London, we get the sports headlines in place of the BBC London headlines at the start and middle of the program. BBC London is then on as usual at 13:30, and no other problems to report.

This has happened all week now (we only got it last weekend) and I can't understand why Tiscali TV would pick up the BBC News Channel feed rather than London's, when everything else is fine (such as 'This is BBC 1, and now the news with Louise Minchin and Victoria Hollins)

Please help Confused

The News Channel is now the sustaining feed on BBC One instead of BBC London.

Was this actually broadcast, or is it an actual rehearsal that somehow managed to creep onto Youtube? Regardless, Anna is super cool and calm throughout. Bring her back!

Only during headlines sequnces. Regional programme slots are still filled with BBC London's output.

It is exactly what goes on in the 5 minutes before the news goes on air, but surely it would be a well known incident if it had actually gone out. I think it's very unlikely - both (well all 3 in this case) galleries and studios would have off-air monitors and it would be very odd co0incidence if all their clocks had failed too

Yeah, it looks a bit 'made up' to me too. I can't imagine a nationals director allowing a shot to go to air with a floor manager scrabbling around sorting something out - even if the presenter had a problem with the earpiece they'd have taken the floor manager's visible cue to start talking rather than fiddle with it on air.

And only during the One and the Ten.

BBC London cant seem to get their opts right at one and ten, they often play the wrong bed, sometimes no bed at all, at one there is no clap yet there is at ten, the volume is also usually up very loud or down very low. However during the six they get the national bed fed to them Wink

I think a rather large clue that this isn't real is that the introduction to the programme is "This is BBC One in the Midlands" but the regional news clip is of BBC London and not the relevant BBC Midlands regional news programme.

I'm sure Emily Maitliss said 'David Suchet' rather than 'John Suchet' during the headlines on the One O'Clock News today. Being a journalist, you'd think she would know the name of one of ITN's most well-known journalists of all time Rolling Eyes

Maybe it was just a slip of the tongue?

Even if it wasn't, its an easy mistake to make.

Or the name was wrong on the script?

Was a messed up opening to the programme, after a foul up on the VTs we cut back to Emily shuffling thru papers before she continued with the David Suchet mistake.

Not too sure but I think she sed "The actor David Suchet..."
