It's just pathetic, why are they having so many problems? It's really shabby. And why on earth did Kate walk off screen and cough, surely somebody is in the gallery telling her when it's clear to do so??

There's only one person in the gallery for the daytime summaries, so sometimes mistakes will happen.

to be fair the main problem looks like a pres one rather than a news one.

What went wrong? Had the summary already begun when presentation handed over to the news summary? Or did the summary just end either early or presentation weren't ready?
The summary finished on time - but the mixer in the Broadcast Centre crashed, and the junction was replaced by a breakdown slide, and a slightly messy start into the next programme.

As for the slightly odd announcement, I guess the announcer hadn't quite been paying attention and assumed the bulletin had finished early.

I don't think this was a news problem, as mentioned above, more a problem with BBC ONE, so we'll let them off on this one. Laughing

Three questions.
* Is that from the camera that is used to show the newspapers on The Andrew Marr Show
*Is that the Newsnight Review side of the studio
* And was that a mistake or was there a reason for it?

It was the Newsnight Review side and it was quite obviously a mistake.
Louise was handing back over to George when it appeared for a few seconds.

The trailer for the BBC News at Ten on BBC One looked really impressive today. Not sure if it is how it is commonly done.

It appeared to be an incredibly wide shot of the studio with Huw sat at the desk and the screens behind him. As it was a small portion of the screen and so wide it made the screens look incredibly impressive.

Now that's an interesting view.

From the Breakfast thread where it was shown which side of the studio the set was on and the JIB (not a rail cam as I first thought) so I'm presuming that view is from the JIB obviously focused on the wrong thing.

I suppose it could be used for the papers on Andrew Marr but then again wouldn't the rail get in the way of the other shots?

Well that spoils the illusion that there is a news room behind those screens, (not that I'd believe there was one anyway.) A trailer for the Ten was mentioned above, when is that usually broadcast and where do they film it from, and if its N6 When do they film it?

The trailers done around 9pm are clearly done from TC7. I think the trailer I saw last night directly before the BBC News at Ten was done from N6. I don't think it would have been possible to get such a wide shot, considering the location of the desk in TC7.

Tuned into the postponed news last night due to football at 10:30 but they used the 10 o'clock news titles. I noticed they've done this before but when the 10 has been postponed for 10 minutes maximum, but surely at 10:30 it can no longer be counted as the 10 o'clock news?!
