BBC National News: Presentation

Is it me or is the sound a little off on tonight's 10?

BBC News at Ten very quick on the Hugo Chavez story - obit package already on.

Seems fine on BBC One Yorkshire/HD.

This was not exactly unexpected. I presume it is the same James Robbins package I am watching on World atm, which has yet to make any mention of the death itself.

Fiona Bruce is in NBH tonight doing a Ten pilot.

What studio will the 90 second update come from studio a?
Or do they have a green screen set up in studio b , or are they using the plasma screens?
Or unlikely the news channel studio plasma's?

I am just assuming that BBC three updates will have the same set up as television centre?

I've said this before, I'd love if they use that spot they have been using for DTL interviews between NBH and TVC for news updates.

That would be the best place, agreed.

As of the NBH move, the only news summary will be the 8pm one (which done with the green screen so I imagine that will be in Studio A), The Andrew Marr Show (from Salford) which might use that backdrop on the plasma, and Sunday Politics which is the only summary with the potential to come from that position.

I thought it had already been confirmed it will share a much smaller studio with BBC Three's 60 Seconds? A bulletin that size (length and presentation) really doesn't need a big studio like A or B.

Does the BBC1 and BBC3 updates not potentially clash so making using A perhaps more appropriate especially as it will be in use at 2100 for the news channel?
