I wonder, will the BBC WN update will have any mention of the NBH move... considering that NC and National News will move on a few more months!
News Channel's first 11am bulletin on BBC Two started, with Matthew welcoming BBC Two viewers and reminding them that they are going to be there every morning. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the handover to BBC World news.

Matthew simply saying that's it for BBC Two and handing to the weather, with BBC NI rather messily placing a promo over the NC sting could just hear the start of it before fade although in fairness the gallery could have left a bit of a pause between the forecaster speaking and the sting cue to give the BBC Two galleries a chance to opt out.
No mention that World News was next.

Nick did indeed acknowledge it and reassure BBC Two (or as he called them 'UK') viewers they will see the new look same time tomorrow.

Will it be a full hour from BBC News channel, or they will still carry BBC WN at 11:30?
BBC News at 11am on BBC Two moved to BBC One today to cover the helicopter crash according to Sky EPG.

Well on BBC Two we wouldn't of got BBC WN as it is PMQs and Daily Politics starts earlier.
Although on BBC One, it is only scheduled for half an hour but I suppose it depends on any developments

Regarding the BBC Two morning news hour, I don't think the 11am half hour of BBC News Channel output works very well. I know they are doing it to save cash on daytime programming, but it's so obvious it's just the NC on BBC Two. Post-DSO, it can't really be a sustainable solution for long.
I got the impression from the BBC Two intro on Monday morning that it was being positioned as a self-contained half hour of news on BBC Two, but this will rarely be the case when simulcasting a rolling news channel. Already this week there has been some breaking news about the Royal baby during the 11am half hour, and today there is an obviously signficant breaking news story, so much so the 'programme' has moved to BBC One.
Personally, I feel that shoving half an hour of BBC News Channel output on BBC Two when it is not a balanced mix of news is doing their viewers a disservice, likewise to try and constrain a rolling news channel to ‘force' their 11:00 to 11:30am output to be a deliberate mix of news stories for a BBC Two audience would also be wrong. Their focus may quite rightly need to be on a breaking/developing story at that time of day.
It just feels like a lose/lose situation to me, to be honest. BBC World News however, is genuine breath of fresh air due to it's wider news agenda, and obviously not already available to UK viewers elsewhere on their set top box.

You make good poits, and I'd add to that that BBC World News half hour may well be just repeating the News channel half hour when a major international story is top of the agenda or indeed a major UK story is deemed high enough to warrant World News coverage.
Saying that a full hour of BBC World news would be difficult as due to the less then unique way BBC World News is funded, there are weather and ad breaks to fit in, granted they fill the ad breaks with extra stories during other similcasts but that weather break approaching the half hour is usually a long one, and bear in mind the weather presenter will probably be live on the News Channel so wouldn't be available to cover the BBC Two 'breakfiller' for want of a better word. Perhaps if budgets are still too tight to create original programs for BBC Two daytime, they should look towards BBC parliament instead.
