So the late News tonight on BBC ONE is at 9pm. Unusual for the News to be before the RBL Festival of Remembrance.

Certainly so, for as long as I can remember.

Though in the good old days both ITN and BBC Saturday evening news used to be between 8.45 and 9.30 generally of course

Means MOTD doesn't start too late. And probably going to be covering breaking news tonight with the BBC Statement due for 9pm

MOTD now pushed back anyway for an extra five-minute news report on One at 10:50.

Festival Of Remembrance not overrunning hopefully.

RBL Festival of Remembrance is edited down so shouldn't now overrun at all. Not been broadcast live for many years.

Wasn't aware of that.

There's probably a few other live events that need that doing.

Must think of some.

Amusing moment on the BBC News at Six just. I turned it on the reporter Jeremy Cooke was Live at the scene of some flooding in Somerset, and his XLR radio mic converter thingy appeared to fall out of his microphone, he carried on regardless and there was just an odd noise. Odd no one noticed for a while and he did the link as he would have been but with no sound.

Seems after the report it was blamed on weather conditions.

I couldn't remember which BBC News thread the complaint was posted in, but during the One O'Clock News today, Robert Peston was billed as coming from New Broadcasting House.

I'll probably be shot down in flames for saying this but...

George remaining standing at the TOTH standing position on the BBC News at Six for nearly all the junctions between the reports on Leveson tonight.
