How many weeks is "a few"? This probably coincides with Newsnight moving out. There is no point keeping a huge studio open if its only going to be used for one 30 minute programme. Based on that theyre moving major programmes in three week gaps, probably around the 15th October?
The News Channel will likely have to decamp to N9 until World News moves out and then they can use N8. It is after all the set up they are going to use at BH, having to decamp from E to C before the 6 & 10.

I think that's the most likely option, using N9 until N8 is free, although that may just be for the 1700 hour; there's no reason why they can't keep the current 2130 set up for the 10.

AFAIK N9 has been closed down already. I think I read somewhere that TC7 is to close as soon as World News has moved to BH and then parts of the News Channel will return to N8.

What do you mean "closed down"? N9 has been mothballed for four years and can still be used if needs be, as it was during the Olympics. The reason they want to close TC7 ASAP is because it is "rented" by news and current affairs rather than "owned", so they can stop paying for it.
By the sounds of that tweet of a "few weeks", it sounds as if TC7 will close before World moves out, hence why we think N9 may be used for the 5 o'clock news.

Is it maybe possible that some of World's daytime shows might move to the studio used by Marr and Sunday Politics before the whole channel moves to Broadcasting House? That would free up the current World set for the News Channel to use before the news at 6.

I'm not technically minded but I would have thought that would just complicate matters, broadcasting from two different buildings.
Does the 3pm news summary still exist btw? I know it will disappear but I thought it was still here for now. Tuned in at 3 at just an extended slot of trailers before CBBC.

Every so often this year it's disappeared to accommodate Only Fools and Horses airing past 3 o'clock. It's happened every few months this year; presumably it may have disappeared for good this time since it's not long until the DSO is complete.

Why not put the News channel back in N8 and just leave it there and let the Nationals come from N6? Another option would be to use N8 for both. N8 has the added advantage of the pod and extra vision mixer as well.
They are already running 2 studios, N6 and TC7 - so running N6 for the 2 National Bulletins and N8 for NC isn't to make much difference. I doubt they'd put the One in N6 if the news channel moves out of N6 totally as the One is run using the News channel staff.
I'm sure someone said on here before (I maybe wrong) than N8 is cheaper and requires less man power to run than N6?
