If David Lowe had his way he'd go for something totally new, with just a hint of the current and old, obviously the BBC are wanting to keep it like this.

I actually quite liked that music. I couldn't see it as a countdown, because one part would begin to get repetitive, but I liked all those strings. If the BBC News music was refreshed, with that as a starting point, I'd be very pleased.

^ Agree, sounds nice and a bit different, finally, would be nice if they make something new for the new era when they move.

Agreed. I think the music fitted the purpose perfectly. It was slightly melancholy, as opposed to totally triumphant and I think the latter, whilst full of oomph for a TOTH countdown, wouldn't quite have captured yesterday's mood quite so well, being somewhat of the former (melancholic).

Or David Lowe's found a way of regurgitating the same thing and being paid handsomely for it! He'd be mad to drop pips and drums, but following the same sort of musical template is wearing thin!

I always thought BBC was gonna come up with something totally new and potentially as revolutionary as their 99 revamp was, when they move to BH.

Sadly, looks like it's not going to happen.

Hopefully that'll be available on David Lowe's website fairly soon.

He said on Facebook that the track will appear this week some time.

Dissapointed with David Lowe that he has produced that crappy version of his own music.

Perhaps it is time for someone else to have a go. I'd be interested to see someone elses take on the music.

BTW, I was sure my avatar was one of your renders. I chose it because I thought it was the Proctor Perfection.
