The mini desk was seen in the opening wideshot of tonights evening news. Also a little error there where an in vision shot of Jane Hill was replaced by a reporter live on location walking away. No astons tonight either. Seems to be a few problems by the looks of it.

The astons do seem to be rather hit and miss - sometime with the BBC NEWS red tab, sometimes without, sometimes they animate, sometimes they just appear....and other times of course, there aren't any astons at all.
The inclusion of the small desk for Sportsday looked a bit shabby - something so small such as this has just added to the feel (in my opinion at least) that the current BBC News presentational output is gradually going downhill.

Yeah, doesn't happen often I know but obviously another knock-on effect of only having one studio. At least there was a gap of 15mins between the programmes rather than anyone on N24 thinking it was deja vu!
I guess it'll allow them to jig around the Scottish Cup / Playoff order - I got the feeling the pictures didn't show up on the first bulletin. It may be my imagination but there seems to be more mistakes showing up on the BBC One programmes these days.

No ... went straight into the Scottish Bullietin, It started at 6pm on the dot so there wasn't really an opportunity so to do. It followed after the Weather, promo and Countdown sequence.

That's a hilarious shot! Who's that tiny desk for? An Ooompa-Lumpah?! Honestly, the depth of the shot makes that look like a coffee table, made worse because it's not on a rostrum like the main desk. Does someone actually sit behind that second desk then?!

As so at least it wasn't a situation where it ruined the flow of the channel completly. Did Jane present the bulletin? Also is there any reason why in these situations Scotland couldn't present a 30 minute bulletin covering including the network content? I presume they could be given access to the VT's that are played out.
