Personally I like the 'News' boxed logo here...

It's the same thing really - the iPlayer logo is slightly different because it has a solid-coloured 6 overlaid onto the image, where as the normal titles have it blended in. Looks a lot nicer blended in too, that's just a bad cap where the number can't be seen very well.

He's not talking about the 6. His post is only two lines long, it can't have been that hard for you to read.

I think Harry James is referring to the position of the BBC News box. I couldn't agree more, it would look much better vertically centred on the titles.

You're quite right - I'm not looking very carefully am I..

Not sure if it's just because I'm used to it, but I prefer it as is.

I think it looks a bit lost in the centre.

It doesn't matter where it is vertically, it needs to be put in line with the clock first!

No it doesn't... the box logo Is an IDENT logo and not meant to be on screen at the same time at the clock.

I much prefer the 'BBC News' box in the centre.

Even it is only on screen for a second, it still looks a mess!

If BBC Sport want to keep pulling this kind of stunt, maybe they should pay for the BBC Two distribution to be regionalised? ...

Why? Outside of a few moaners on a forum nobody really cares about a 30 minute delay Rolling Eyes Very Happy

I'm sure there will have been a fair number of people wanting to watch the regional news at the time that it was scheduled and will have been annoyed that it was delayed - it was something that could very easily have been avoided and wasn't. It's not a massive thing, but it's disrupting for no particular reason.

I know Harry Gration warned viewers that the Regional News might not be on, and that the radio is the best resource for flooding information. I think that's sufficient.

It ended up being 30 minutes but it could easily have been much more.

Oops - a report on BBC News at Ten played out quite strangely, with half the report off screen and black bars in between. They cut away, Mishal apologised, and they went to the regions early. The News Channel got Mishal introducing a weather forecast instead of the usual paper review.

Poor Chris Eakin on the News Channel - he looked slightly stumped when they came back from the weather earlier than usual at 22:27!
