Did anyne see that Sophie crossed over to the sports centre to chat to one of the sports presenters about the Grand Prix in Bahrain on The Six, I think it was Wednesday. First time on a national bulletin? Excluding weekends?

I wonder if this is because the clip studio is out of use for some reason? If it was, for example for maintenance, where would they go? Isn't it also used for the BBC Three 60 second updates, hence it's in use all week long?

They may have been in TC7 because N10 is having some technical problems. TC7 is the only BBC News studio which isn't in use at this time (bar N9).

They did an odd day of daytime summaries from TC7 a few months ago. On that occasion it was done from the desk with a wide shot at the beginning as I recall, which was surprising that they didn't try and make it look as close to N10 as they could.

Content rather than presentation, but the pictures from Syria on these Ian Pannell reports for Ten O'Clock News are stunning. The online clips don't do the reports justice. Just watched the news in HD and it really is the BBC at it's best.

Difficult story, confusing times, civilians stuck in conflict but reported from the ground with insight and incredibly shot, if slightly moving, pictures.

Some behind the scenes from BBC News director Chris Cook (or Media Boy on here) - great to see stuff like this.

Just seen this used for the 'Coming up in Sport' section for the News at One (sorry for the awful cap, looked fine on telly!):

Looks like they're going for some new bits of presentation now they've settled in.

They've done that for a few weeks now. I think that studio looks really really good. I was by MediaCityUK the other day and that studio looked really big.

There's no shortage of the BBC Sport branding there as well!

Fiona having to ad lib again

Robert Hall's Live report before the weather, he didn't reply to Fiona, after 10 or so seconds we returned to Fiona, who said she blamed it in the weather, as she looked down to her papers we cut back to Robert who had already started talking but froze or stopped, Fiona popped up again and started talking to Derren.

EDIT: Even with a Party Broadcast at 6.55pm we have been starting early, but I reckon we crossed even earlier than planned to the regions?

Missed it myself but many reporting a beeping noise over the BBC 10 o'clock news and saying it was Huw's heart monitor! Laughing

Apparently Huw said ''ObaMA Bin Laden'' tonight so it's trending worldwide.

Heard it myself and it did seem like it was equally spaced beep rather than just a beep randomly placed all over the show. Even during the VT and OB links.

Yes, it happened during the Local Election coverage too for about a minute.
