Came across this picture on twitter of Kasia Madera & Richard Gordon.

Am I right in think that N8 is behind them and then sport today comes from the one on the left (the plasmas look familiar)?

You're spot on, Sam. Sport Today during newsday comes from the small pod which can be seen just above Kasias right shoulder. It's the same pod used for daily World News from 8am until 1pm.

Kasia normally sits just above where Richards left shoulder, the main BBC World Eliptical Desk.

Do overnight sports news still come from London or was this before the Salford move?

Last time I saw it, it was still from London, presented some nights by Adnan Nawaz and other nights by Matt Gooderick.

New handover to Sport during news bulletins..

I'd sooner see the bulletins be done from London to be honest, looks much slicker.

Sport coming from Salford overnight now as well.

I think it looks better than I was expecting. Outside of the news channel it only affects two bulletins a week and a similar graphic is used when crossing to a correspondent during the news on The Andrew Marr Show.

Are these live bulletins or an earlier bulletin re-played as used to happen in London.

Strange that they're using the DVE and not the Barcos to throw to Salford for the sport.

Overnights are pre-recorded I think. 'More sport later' is often the sign off as opposed to, 'See you at 2.30'.

The Astons on the sports bulletins don't appear to have a BBC News bug attached, which makes them look a little odd.

After a conversation in the World News thread about the use of studios. Here is a nice example from BBC News at Ten last night, shows nice camerawork and graphics can be used even in a small studio:
