I see that an half an hour bulletin on BBC One at 1pm as part of the new schedule due to postponement of League match.
Assume simulcast of News Channel, heavying on the overreaction to the snow
It's been treated as a proper weekday bulletin by the looks of it - with the panning camera and Maxine saying 'Hello and welcome to the BBC News at One'
Wonder it will include a 'coming up' section and sting, like it does Monday-Friday!

It did indeed, with Matt Gooderick doing the sport now.

Yes it did, with Matt Gooderick sitting next to Maxine during the sting!
I know this is a more last-minute, pretend version, but is this the first time Maxine's presented a full length News at One?
I much prefer this style and length of bulletin, giving the right time to news during the weekend. Good to see the quarter past coming up and pan of studio.
They should always do it like this, but cost cutting will put a stop to that surely?
Hard to believe that in a months time, we'll have a handover to Salford for all the sport. That will be very different indeed!
Not sure, but shame we don't have a full edition every Sunday - it's a good time to catch up with the news. Louise even doing the weather in the studio!
Yes, as aconnell said, shame that budget cuts would not allow this sort of bulletin all the time, but I see no reason why the average NC team cannot produce the same sort of thing without an increase in cost. In fact, they probably just did!
An awkward end to the bulletin too, as it closed with a shot of Maxine turning and looking at Louise Lear, who wasn't aware she was supposed to be on screen and was trying to take her microphone off. She then just sort of stood still and smiled at Maxine
You're probably right that they could reproduce that every Sunday without much of an extra cost. It is, in effect, half an hour of the news channel. It was more a change in terms of presentation, such as the coming up, sting and end, and also having weather from the studio. Apart from that, the sport is still done in the studio, they still have reporters on the studio, so theoretically they could produce this quite easily as is normally done on the NC.
