is it possible to start a new thread for this please? We seem to be getting the phantom page bug again

Although not strictly BBC National News I thought this might be of interest to see:

This is 'The Impressions Show' version of the BBC News studio - actually far better than the CSO used for quick bulletins on BBC One and not too bad overall! Wrong section of the backdrop, and the desk looks a little small, but very good for a 10 second snippet of a show.

Must admit I prefer Jan Raven's version of 'Fiona Bruce', but Deb's isn't bad.

By the way, when they spoof BBC News on various programmes, where do they film them, as N6 is always in use & N8 & N9 look nothing like N6 & TC7.

Do they fit in with TC7's other duties, or is it easy to mock up a 'standard' BBC News set elsewhere?

The studio there is definitely a home-made CSO setup - not an actual BBC studio. It's a shame something of that quality can't be used for the daytime bulletins on BBC One.

TC7 is most commonly used in these sorts of programmes, although as we saw in The Impressions Show they occasionally use CSO similar to the daytime updates and the updates featured during The Andrew Marr Show and The Politics Show.

But presumably The Impressions Show have access to larger, more technically capable studios than the BBC have for their daytime updates?

Actually N6 is free from 1am to 8.30 isn't it? Or the back of N9 with the photo blow ups could pass for N6 I guess.

They wouldn't use N6 overnight for drama filming surely?

(Cost too much?)

Probably more than using TC7 during the day.
